Printed herein are sections which had appeared in Chapter 4, entitled "Police," of the City of Montevallo's 1982 Code. The original numbering
scheme of these sections has been retained, and gaps in the numbering indicates that
the absent numbered provisions were codified in Chapter 24 of the 2008 City Code. Parenthetical history notes following provisions indicate the ordinance
or resolution that subsequently amended that provision. Obvious misspellings and punctuation
errors have been corrected without notation. The style used for headings and catchlines
has been made uniform, and the same system of capitalization as appears in the Code
of Ordinances has been used. Additions made for clarity, such as catchline modifications,
are indicated by brackets.
