§ 4-183. [Same; defined.]

  • A designated "no parking zone" is defined as follows: Any area with painted yellow curbing, any area with signs posted to indicate no parking and any and all areas in the City which are not properly designated as parking areas. Quarles street in its entirety is designated a no parking zone. The east side of Samford Street from Bowie to Quarles streets is designated a no parking zone. The northwest side of Island Street (the side nearest Main Street) between Middle Street and Main Street, and that this portion of Island Street is designated a no parking zone on any parade day, sporting event evening, or other special occasion as designated by the city clerk or the chief of police. The northwest side of Alabama Street (the side nearest Main Street); the northeast side of Block Street (in front of the Moon Thornton Memorial High School Ag Building) between Main and Valley Streets, and the southeast side of Main Street from Bloch Street to Valley Street are designated no parking zones.
